Ne0 Pirates - 004 - Regular's Woes
(I'm going to start writing this at the top of the comments. I'm too lazy to change my first three at the moment)

Original Rant: Ok...yea...so I'm late with this one...and will be for Amano and my planned Christmas Special... I got a little overwhelmed by alot of unplanned circumstances recently. This time I was visiting my dad for a few days and ended up getting snowed in for an extra two days at his place >_<.

Don't get me wrong, I like hanging out with my dad, but he went to work those days, just down the street at Veteran Affairs, and I was stuck at the house without photoshop or my files to work on. Plus I didn't have a script from Amano at the time. Although I did get one the second night I was at my dad's place. Amano and I talked on the phone about some future events and ideas to incorporate into the comic, and hopefully I'll be caught up with my comics soon and possibly will get faster at this whole comic producing thing.

Well, I opened a bank account since I got here and I'm finally gonna get that blasted tablet I've been wanting, so hopefully that'll help. Although that'll probably be in another two or three weeks *sigh* That's ok. Anyways, not much for ranting today, I really need to bust my butt on the next comic and catch up on my work. So hopefully my readers (lol, like I have any) won't be bothered too much by any delay in my updates.

Anyways, to comment on this strip:

My God it was a pain in the ass to get all my characters to look like they were sitting in that booth. I'm definitely not the best artist, especially when it comes to character/environment interactions, but it was much needed practice. And the original writing sucked, Boco from FAS and LilFAS ([link] and [link]) helped me fill out the jokes a little more, but I think this strip bombed pretty bad. Oh well, it's all good practice for me. I'll try harder next time, lol, hopefully without the headaches.



Current Reflections: Ahh yes, I remember making this comic, it was exceedingly challenging for me. I still don't fully understand how to make a recurring background for a comic and this was my first try at working with one. I got complaints from my friends that I didn't have backgrounds for my comic and I knew I had to fix it. Reading this comic also cracks me up cause of so many situations my friends and I've had at Denny's. Speaking of which, anybody else have a tradition at their Denny's for the entire restaurant to applaud and sometimes give standing ovations whenever a glass or dish is broken?
